Terms and Information on the Processing of Personal Data – Cookies
UNIMEX s.r.o., Tolstého 9, 811 06 Bratislava – Staré Mesto, IČO: 36 796 581 (hereinafter “UNIMEX”) as the data controller, collects and processes personal data of data subjects, providing them with information in accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, repealing Directive 95/46/EC (“GDPR”), and in accordance with Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data and on amendments to certain laws (“ZOOÚ”).
Cookies are small text files that your web browser saves or loads onto the hard drive of your end device (e.g., computer, laptop, or smartphone) through the websites you visit, for the purpose of storing certain information or image files, such as pixels. The next time you visit our website on the same device, the information about your cookies will already be saved. Cookies can be sent either to our website (“first-party cookies”) or to another website to which the cookies belong (“third-party cookies”). If you visit our website from a different device than the one where you already set cookies, or if there is a change in the cookie processing process (e.g., modification of the expiration period, etc.), you will be asked again to set your cookies on our website, for example, by providing your consent and/or setting your preferences. UNIMEX currently uses only first-party cookies.
We process cookies for various purposes, but primarily to display our website optimally and to ensure proper functionality of our website in line with your preferences.
For purposes other than those mentioned above, your cookies will only be stored with your consent or based on legal requirements.
You can also block or delete cookies through your web browser.
From the perspective of personal data protection, it is important to assess what data is contained in a particular cookie file. If the data recorded in the cookie file includes any identifier that can directly or indirectly identify a natural person – the user of the web browser – either alone or in combination with other data, such cookies must be considered as personal data under Article 4(1) GDPR.
Depending on the type of contractual relationship with the controller, the table below lists the purposes for processing personal data (hereinafter “Personal Data”), from which the category of data subjects, the legal basis for processing, the categories of processed Personal Data, as well as the period for which the controller will process these Personal Data are clear.

UNIMEX s.r.o. does not disclose personal data to any third parties except those required by law or these terms of personal data processing. UNIMEX does not transfer personal data to third countries (outside the European Union/European Economic Area). UNIMEX does not process personal data for the purpose of automated decision-making, including profiling.
In case a contract is the legal basis for processing personal data, providing such data is a contractual requirement for fulfillment of the contract. If this data is not provided, it is not possible to enter into a contractual relationship or fulfill the contract. If the legal basis for processing personal data is a law, providing such data is a legal requirement. If this data is not provided, it is not possible to ensure the proper performance of obligations under the applicable legal regulations.
Regarding the processing of personal data, the data subject has the following rights:
- To request from UNIMEX confirmation of whether or not their personal data is being processed, under what conditions, including the scope, purpose, and duration of the processing, and information about the source of the data;
- To request from UNIMEX the correction of incorrect or outdated personal data or the completion of incomplete personal data;
- To request from UNIMEX the deletion/disposal of personal data if: a. The personal data is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected or otherwise processed; b. The personal data was processed based on consent and this consent has been withdrawn, with no other legal basis for processing or other legal exceptions; c. The data subject objects to the processing of personal data based on legitimate interests, and there are no overriding legitimate reasons for processing or objects to direct marketing; d. The personal data is being processed unlawfully; e. The personal data must be deleted to fulfill a legal obligation;
- To request from UNIMEX the restriction of processing personal data if: a. The data subject disputes the accuracy of the personal data, for a period allowing UNIMEX to verify the accuracy; b. The processing of personal data is unlawful, and the data subject objects to the deletion and requests instead a restriction of its use; c. UNIMEX no longer needs the personal data for processing purposes, but the data subject needs it for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims;
- In case personal data is processed based on consent, the data subject has the right to withdraw consent;
- For reasons related to their specific situation, to object to the processing of their personal data, which is being carried out either (A) in the public interest or (B) based on the legitimate interests of UNIMEX, including objections to profiling based on these legal bases (in cases where UNIMEX would perform profiling based on automated decision-making);
- To file a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic.
Requests related to the above rights can be submitted to info@unimex-sro.sk, or personally or by post to the address of the controller. The subject of the email or letter should include “Personal Data Protection ‘Cookies’.”
Responses to these requests or measures taken based on these requests are provided free of charge. If the request is clearly unfounded or excessive, especially due to its repetitive nature (repeated request), UNIMEX has the right to charge a fee considering its administrative costs for providing the information or a reasonable fee for the administrative costs of notifying or carrying out the requested action, or may refuse to act based on such a request.
